3 Ways to Refresh Your Space

Open those blinds and add some color, you'll be feeling like you have a whole new home!

With summer coming quickly to an end and the back-to-school season starting up very soon, it's necessary to get up and clean, organize, and refresh your home... especially since a lot of us have actually spent a lot of our time these last few months at home. So it's time to get your gears turning and let's get your home looking and feeling like a fresh new space! You'll be amazed at how just a few simple changes/touch-ups can give you a new outlook of your home.

1. Embrace Natural Light
Coming in a just a few short months is the dreaded time change that almost anyone I've ever known wishes wouldn't happen. So it's important that as these long, beautiful, and sunny days come to an end that we embrace them and let in that sunshine!

Open those blinds and bask in the natural light!! I don't know about ya'll, but when I first wake up in the morning, I enjoy opening my curtains and letting the morning sun hit my skin. It provides warmth and makes me feel truly awake and alive. The same goes for any room you are in. When that sunshine hits that room and any object/piece of furniture that is in there, it gives a whole new look to the room. You can see things you hadn't noticed before with those artificial lights on. Not only that, but you're saving money by NOT using your lights when it's not necessary!  Fun fact: If you don't have many windows in your home, buy large mirrors that will reflect the light and brighten the room up. Mirrors also give the illusion of a bigger space, so not only will your home feel open but also more inviting!

2. Give Your Furniture A New Look
A great way to make a room feel like new is to change some things up! And I know what you're thinking, "Well I don't want to have to go out and buy brand new furniture," but guess what... YOU DON'T!

It is such a simple fix when wanting that newer look without spending a whole bunch of money. Can you take a guess at what I might be talking about? If you guessed changing up your couch pillows and adding some colorful blankets... you got it right!! But there's also an even "bigger" fix to this problem and that's as simple just buying some slipcovers for your furniture! In that case, you basically are getting a "brand new" look for less than $50!

3. Spice Things Up With Pops Of Color
Just like what I was talking about with getting some new pillows and blankets, a great and easy thing you can do is to buy products that spice some things up. Add those pops of color in!! An example of such is to buy bright, hot pink pillows during the Spring/Summertime if your couch/furniture is a plain color. But if you wanted to go the extra mile, get some extravagant or pretty patterned accessories. Not only will you be adding color, but you give something extra to your home!

Whether it's actually remodeling your home, or doing something as simple as opening up your blinds and letting some light in, do it! Whatever makes you feel good and makes you enjoy your home again, trust me, it will be 100% worth it.
